Stress Reduction Therapy

We all share stress – some have a more difficult time working through it.

Stress may involve daily hassles like the commute to work, doing errands like shopping for groceries or going to the bank.

Or, stress may surround bigger issues such as finances or dealing with your relationships, parenting, or caregiving. Additional stresses may be your career. It could involve moving, or buying and selling a home, or simply maintaining the home you live in.

When stress’s symptoms begin taking over your life…

The impact of stress that is troubling may exhibit itself with difficulty sleeping, maybe sleeping too much, feeling tired, headaches, GI issues, or other physical aches and pains throughout the body.

Emotional outbursts, agitation, and frustration may become pervasive.  Appetite may become poor, it may result in emotional eating or poor nutrition. 

Exercise may become out of the question, and you’ll ask where is the time?  Problem behaviors may become the way to deal.

Therapy can help!

While providing certain coping skills, tools and resources, therapy will allow that self-reflection and space to identify the life stressors and how they impact you uniquely. Then through this unfolding and unpacking experience, you will learn how to engage in healthier coping mechanisms.

We will address ways to prioritize what is most effective to create balance and understand your values. Time management may be what you need or perhaps it is learning to communicate your needs with boundaries. Learning assertive approaches to solving problems may be the tool that reduces your stress measurably.
