What is going to happen?

Fears about the future abound; worry over your relationships or your marriage/partnership are ever-present. And then there is the constant revisiting of what happened yesterday or in the past and how it is impacting you today.

The way your life unfolded is keeping you up at night with racing thoughts.

Perhaps, you are in college or want to go to college and are undecided about what you should study. You think, “How am I going to find a job?” “Will I make friends? or how? when I tend to be an introvert?” “Will I meet the challenges of my coursework with a good GPA?”

Better to hide?

You are tired, fatigued, perhaps irritable or agitated much of the time.  It may cause you to avoid those aspects of life you’re afraid to face.  Going under the covers and staying in your pajamas, watching excess TV, or poor eating choices may be the norm.  It feels better to avoid it all!

Or, you work too much, are a high achiever, people pleaser.  Besides you think the worst is going to happen, maybe a sense of impending doom.  After all, you better prepare for the worst!

Hope through therapy…

Through our work in therapy, you will examine the key factors that contribute to your anxiety. Examining these in detail will allow us to develop greater understanding to where they may have originated.

Next, we will come to know what is keeping the worrier, the critical voice or the perfectionist going in your mind, body and beliefs.

Your unique factors will help us to design an approach while identifying your areas of growth and levels of motivation.

You will work toward re-wiring your brain with healthier cognitions or thoughts. New ways of thinking and talking and feeling will ensue that lead to courage and empowered beliefs.

We will discover your positive motivation for growth. This will bring about behavior that will bring forth outcomes you are better able to manage and navigate.
